Unfortunately, they will prove their own undoing.

What makes you think "why" is a significant question?

The obvious answer is "just because."

Asking "why" requires a presupposition there is a purpose to anything. On what basis are you making that presupposition?

Why do you think there has to be a "why?"

Creationism isn't a theory, it's a belief. Creationists pretend it's a theory the way evolution is a theory, but it isn't. It has no business in science classes and that position has been supported many times by many different courts for the reason it's not science, but religion.

The same goes for the recent reincarnation of creationism into intelligent design and irreducible complexity. Not science, but creationism tarted up in an attempt to look like science. Again, not a theory because Michael Behe has never proposed a means of falsification.

You will have to ask the creationists why they are "trying to prove, or disprove, something not scientific using science..."

A theory is simply a belief that has been operationalized so that the validity or lack thereof of the belief can be tested.

haha, when u believe you came from monkey, you behave
just like that,
look at the wrold today,
should speak volumes!

But Jim, why doesn't God show up and clean the place up? Do you believe God created man just so he would have something to toy with and torture. There is not one teeny weeny bit of evidence pointing to your belief in a benevolent God. If there is a God then he (Jesus was a he) must be more sadistic than any of his creations from Herod to Hitler and on to Assad. I could say that God spelled backward is Dog but that would be terribly denigrating to Dogs.

Why are you so angry/bitter ???

Do a bible study with a Christian you know.
Gods ways are not our ways.
Try to understand God's creation, God's perspective,
God's plan for you.

There is a perfect reason which is too long to get into here,
for your answer.

If your judging God by what you see or what has happened to you, its just lack of understanding, of His great plan.

To love you and have a relationship with you.
All are called, few will accept.

In the end, He will make all things right.

vote for god than and pray we have not all missed the boat and should be Mormon's cause you know - they claim to be the lost tribe

By which means?

By creation, allopatric, animal husbandry, peripatric, sympatric, or by means of laboratories, and who know what other means which I haven't thought of, but perhaps you have?

I'm just pointing it out, although it seems to make sense teaching scientific facts, in lieu of religious myths.

Adults can believe what ever they want; children need to educated using scientific facts and truth to develop fully their logic and reasoning skills that are so necessary in today's world. IMHO.

You sir don't need to tell me how to raise my children/grandchildren. Just because a lot of people believe a certain way doesn't make it true. To me, science hasn't proven a damned thing.

Then if you get perilously ill or injured Dennis, I trust you will pray and shun medical aid. Correct?

"Just because" is a dolt's answer. Left unsupported, you relegate all answers just as baseless. Since science purports "facts" in rejection of religious "myths", then it is no better than a myth in its foundation.

I thought that teaching was to teach the truth and facts not beliefs and unsupported fictional stories.
Teach math is logical - you want 2+2 to = 4
biology, science and history are all true factual classes.

And some one wants to teach rumored, folk stories instead of facts
I don't think so.

If some one believes evolution did not happen & was not still happening today they really must be from a primitive tribe without access to news and modern books instead of the Old Testament.

Don't try to twist my meanings. My grandma used to put "coal oil" on our cuts and I never got an infection. God enabled us with a brain to reason out most things.
