Recently my laptop has been sending its sound to our Bose music player in another room. It never used to do that. Would anyone have any idea why this would happen and how to stop it??? Thanks in advance.
WIFI or Bluetooth connection, however it was made.
I've no idea how to turn it off.
It sounds like your Bose music player connected to the Bluetooth on your computer. You will have to delete from your music player.

You didn’t mention which Bose device you have or whether your laptop is Windows or Apple, but if it’s a Windows 10 laptop, and the link is Bluetooth, there are a couple of options to disable the link. You should see a Bluetooth icon in the right side of the tray at the bottom of your display - just click on it and turn off the Bluetooth. If you don’t see the icon, right click on the start button on the lower left, then device manager or control panel. Then choose Bluetooth and disable it.
I would shut the bluetooth and/or wifi off on your laptop. Then I would delete "Bose" from the list of names on the wifi/ bluetooth list.
Thanks to all! Gremlins 0, UHH 1. Yes, it was Bluetooth. I switched it off on the laptop, problem solved.

Yep, ghosts in the machine. Maybe some of Jerry’s that he’s driven out of his computer 👻
If you turn on Bluetooth for anything sometimes it will search for any local site, like your music player. I keep mine off unless using, which is rare.
Thanks for the top hassighedgehog!
