Wonderful capture! Awesome light

Curious about size, since that turtle (tortoise?) seems mighty big for your neck of the woods. How big's the gator . . . ? 5 feet?

Did you see the alligator ringing someone's doorbell on the News?

I'm guessing about 4 1/2 ft.

No, but last year a lady that is like a second mom to me that lives alone and 93 years old opened the door from her house to her attached garage had a 6 footer staring at her with his mouth wide open.

Thanks, I'm in Galveston TX area, just hoping for a close place to get these kind of shots. Is that an alligator or crocodile, the nose seems more pointed than the American alligator.

It is an alligator. As far as I know the only state in the United States that has crocodiles is Florida.

One more difference between the two is that the alligator's teeth are inside it's mouth and a crocodiles protrude on the outside.
