If my Olympus was made in Vietnam, that makes me happy. My first husband was a Vietnam vet, and it wasn't good, but I care about that country.

User: f8lee thank you for a great answer and taking the time to show how you really are.
Who I really are is fed up with insipid questions and ultra generic post titles by people too lazy to state an actual question with valid parameters.
What you originally posted is as worthless and stupid (yep, I said it - I don't mind the concept of stupid-shaming) as something on a car forum titled "Car" with the text being "Mini Cooper or Maybach". Got it? Think a minute before vomiting a half-thought onto the forum is all I ask.
That your UserID lent itself to a new term was merely a happy coincidence!

Thanks to everybody else for your opinions it is a lot of money that I am going to spend. Just needed some good feedback.
I think you would have gotten a lot better feedback if you had shown a little more respect for your prospective respondents.

The OP has only made 5 posts so far since joining a few months ago. I'm all for a good rant, but what about civility toward fellow humans?

Ha - I hadn't thought of that. But it sure smells like it.

Maybe I'm dense, bleirer, but I really don't understand your post. What does the OP's low number of posts have to do with anything? What "rant" are you referring to? And where did you see lack of civility?
The OP apparently wants help in deciding between two cameras. So he writes "Cameras / Z7 or D850". No mention of the type of photography he does, features/capabilities he is concerned about, etc. It's an incomplete, sloppy request. And I'm apparently not the only one who felt that way.....

Months??? He joined today and all his posts are in THIS thread.
The low number of posts indicates he or she is relatively new here and perhaps not as sophisticated in the ways of the forum. The lack of civility I feel comes from someone riffing on a user name to make a fart joke, and these actual quotes:
Is this a stupid game, farting silly questions from the mouth, insipid questions, too lazy to state an actual question. worthless and stupid,
And then to accuse the OP without evidence of being under a fake ID.
One could have just clicked unwatch this topic, or add to ignore list.

Buy both. Use each for 2 weeks. Return the one you don't like as much as the other. Then you explain your rationale. Simple.

His topic header before any of todays posts said "Joined: Oct 25, 2018 Posts: 5"

Both! Or maybe neither. Once you've analyzed your specific photographic needs, the answer will be obvious.

If those were the only two to choose from, the Z7. Both are way too big, heavy, and expensive for the type of traveling I do. I would be choosing between Olympus and Panasonic M4/3rds. I travel with an E-M1mkII body, two lenses (14 to 108 in 35mm angle of view, f2.8 and 2.8/3.5), filters, two flashes, extra battery in an ~ 6X11X12 case for under 7 pounds.

Make up your own mind. It's your choice.
