This Challenge is for Nature and we all know that She runs the show and her show does not always please us so we live with the pleasant and unpleasant moods She has, and we have learned to do it, that is why someone invented the umbrella.
Now here I would like to see Nature, not flower gardens shot through the kitchen window but something deeper, showing how She lives and helps us along. for instance leaves...quite a story here. Of course there are other things than leaves but think about it, if we had no leaves,,,,? Wow.
The first two here are a display of what is called ''Mules' Tails'' which indicates humidity and when you see these you can be pretty sure that within 48 hours you'll be getting bad weather....well not bad, rain or snow.

Wonderful start off Jim..
OK, Nature tells us a lot but we tend to ignore it however I have learned to let her in my life somewhat more than years past.
She did her time

You will see a stump here, it is a ''leaner'' beech that I cut this past winter. but next to it is fallen tree, not old but not healthy and this photo shows us that Natrue does not want us in the woods on windy times.

This tree was dropped while still in health (not by me) and Nature decorated the stump, like a head stone. Another connection here with Her

The story here is that this is a ridge and on ridges trees have surface roots. This tree, a true adult and like us our roots cannot take as much as time goes on. It got hit by an ice storm with very high gusty winds this past spring. Nature can compare with us, can't she?

Interesting weather forecasting info and woodpecker evidence.
I am a "Nature Girl, " so I'll start with fungus and fossils. Maybe more..........great start to what is sure to be a popular topic.

Nature is certainly amazing...My first thought was the power of water! Bill and I decided to check out all
the water falls right here in Ct. We were surprised at how many we found. Here are a few shots that i
liked in particular.
Kent Falls, Ct. a wonderful place to see her in action!
Sculpting power of water is impressive!

I love God's creation as a photo subject:
The last two show nature in action..........the last is a cavern formation that is still active.......one drop of moisture at a time; for eons.
