Great series Mike. #3 and 4 are outstanding. I used to go there on family outings when I was a kid. The summer after I graduated high school I spent a week backpacking in the park. It's been to many years since I've been there. I need to go back.

Thanks very much, it's not that far from San Diego about a days drive, best time is October.

it is 8 hours to yosemite from San Diego I used to go every year. I was sitting here thinking how long it has been since I was there last. I was suposed to go this weekend and do some whitewater rafting but my friend waited to long to comit to the trip. was going to raft the Tuolumne river for 3 days and then spend 2 or 3 days in Yosemite then hit Bodie on the way home. Now I think ILL go at the end of SEpt. by myself.
