I will be visiting Portland and wonder if there is any store that worths a visit for camera gear.
If there are any recommendations I would appreciate them :)
Not actually 'downtown' but near the core: ProPhoto.
Big selection of goods--not B & H but that professional.

While you may be correct, obviously you're predisposed to believe the OP was referring to your hometown. However, while Portland Oregon is a much larger city, it wasn't clear to me from his post whether he meant Portland Oregon, or Portland Maine. Keep in mind that Portland Maine, although a fraction of the size, is a very popular tourist destination.

You are right about the size of both cities. Life in Portland Maine sure beats the other place.

I've never been to Portland Oregon, so I can't say. My comment was not intended as a criticism or comparison of these two like named cities.

Don't worry about it. Not the end of the world.

Although...Portland Maine is a pretty cool town.
Blue Moon. Especially if you are into FILM.
Maine or Oregon? If Maine, Hunt’s Photo and Video. Can’t help with Oregon.
Pro Photo on 19th and Marshall in the northwest area of town.
Speaking of Portland, Oregon...the stores are: Pro Photo as mentioned, The Shutterbug, Advance Camera, and Blue Moon.. I prefer The Shutterbug as they will talk with you. Blue Moon Camera and Machine in St John's area is like a camera museum, they also only do film. They are worth a visit then go to Cathedral Park to get pics of the St John's Bridge. Advance Camera in Beaverton is also a good place.

It is. There is this pizza joint by the water with this monster beehive woof fired oven. Great casual place.

I have sued Pro Supply with success, however, Google will reveal all in a twinkling of an eye...

Can’t visit Portland, OR without visiting Powell’s Bookstore in the downtown area. Its the biggest used, and new, bookstore I’ve ever seen. Found model specific manuals for several of my cameras.
You may want to use your phone it will tell you the same way you look up restaurants on google.
