At Elmendorf AFB, AK for a few days and saw a few critters while driving around. Overcast and rainy as usual for Alaska this time of year. First photo, a young Black Bear ventures out to the road and then Mama Bear (second photo) came up looking for the youngster....she was actually getting mad and snorting at me, so I left her to do what she does best, protect her cubs. A porcupine and a couple of Trumpeter Swans in the distance (150 yds and low light). Anyway, there's not shortage of critters in and around the AFB. Please enjoy.
I did enjoy, Thanks. Very nice set of pics.
I always heard there was a lot of wild life at AFBs!
Very nice series! I will be up there for a couple weeks in July. It looks like these came from the Six Mile Lake loop.
Great set! I haven't been to Elmendorf in 49 years, but I always loved the place.
That's a pretty place and the wild life appears abundant......love the Porcupine.
