Has anybody ever tried this? Roll up various colored post-it-notes (I ultimately had to tape them), array them in different configurations on a glass table top, light them from below and above and take some shots. I saw someone do this years ago and thought it was kind of unique. As I've never had a good original idea in my life, I stole that one. Here's a few examples of what I came up with two winters back when I had lots of time on my hands. When setting them up you have to be very careful. A sneeze or a bump and you're starting over. The first shot was one of my first. Then I started playing around in Photoshop and finally arrived at an alien world. I would really like to know what you think about these. I have rarely unveiled them before.

I have a glass coffee table and have long thought of using it in shooting / lighting. After looking at what you created, I might speed up the day I try something. Very interesting to look at.

Thanks to all of you. Howard, you should give it a try. It's easy to do but takes a little patience.

You might have copied a concept but the rest is sheer creativity. Love the color and lighting and the design in your PP work. Amazing.

Thanks to all. To NJ: I sent a few of these shots to the 3M Company about a year ago and I'm still waiting to hear back from them. Not holding my breath.
