Here in SoCal we get the Great Tailed Grackle...similar but with a "V" shaped tail. Very loud voice. You really know when they're in the neighborhood. Thanks for sharing this very nice photo. jak

Birds do not sing when they fly. Along with the wind they probably get bugs stuck in their throat. Why are there so many grackles around this year?
