Very well done, Sylvia. Would you mind sharing your settings for the indoor shots? I have a small camera that does in-camera HDR shots that turn out pretty well without flash. Were you able to use a tripod? It's a beautiful place, by the way. I cannot imagine the cost of upkeep!

As a Scotsman of the Ogilvie clan I have to tell you that your photos are just beautiful, inside and out. As a collector of firearms I love the circular display of firearms that look to date from the mid 1700' to early 1800's. A couple look to be missing the hammer but all are in excellent shooting condition. My heart was racing with excitement at seeing them.

You did really well, as always with your photographic excellence.

Dennis

I was so glad that I downloaded your pictures .I too was impressed by the weapons and the history ❣️

I wonder if it is still a Bed & Breakfast Inn? My daughter and I stayed there while visiting my ancestors burial grounds in Scotland. We were not there but one or two nights but I remember it well. The food was awesome and served elegantly. I loved the lake in back - took many photos there. Your photos are sensational - i am an avid photographer also, and I would be proud of these for sure! We live in the U.S. but love England and Scotland...so photogenic!!

Lovely scenes, I like that lacy looking metal chair in the Victorian Rm and the view through the window most.

Pleased you enjoyed the tour Karin and thank you very much for your comments.

We drove to Inveraray yesterday and I took a stroll around the Castle. The gardens were beautiful. No camera flash was allowed inside the Castle.

An Inveraray Castle has been standing on the shores of Loch Fyne since the 1400s. The castle was built in the Gothic Revival style. Work on it began in 1743, which replaced an earlier 15th-century castle.
The castle of today was the result of a fire in 1877, with the addition of the third floor and conical roofs on the corner towers.

It has been the seat of the Dukes of Argyll, Chiefs of Clan Campbell, since the 18th century. The 13th Duke and his family live in private apartments occupying two floors and set between two of the four crenellated circular towers. Recent renovations included the installation of the first central heating in the house. It is a Category A listed building.
