Eagles in South Florida

On a recent trip to Marco Island on Florida's west coast I had the opportunity to photograph this eagle's nest. Shot with 700mm in focal length and could not get any closer without swimming so this is the best I could get. Hope you enjoy the collection.

Very WELL done ! Tremendous DOF .......never seen them nest in an Australian Pine ! .......thanks for sharing

Excellent work on a difficult shoot , 700 mm equivalent .

Thanks. Exposure was ISO 640, F8 and 1/1250. Focus was on big trunk on the left. Camera on tripod, all shots taken with cable release, tripod weighted with camera bag to add stability. All images were from burst mode. Start to finish was 4 hours of waiting mixed with some limited shooting. :-)

Thank you for the compliment. Sharpness and detail are the result of really good glass, and most importantly using good long lens technique. The details make all the difference.
