Swallows have recently returned to my area of KY for this year, and I watched them skim a local golf course lake. They nest under a large box culvert at the entrance to the golf course, and are fascinating to watch.
After many, many, many deletes I was finally able to capture one of the Barn Swallows in flight. As they returned to under the culvert after a foray over the lake, their flight pattern was less erratic and they had slowed down from about a thousand mph to maybe 500, and I was able to occasionally catch one in focus with a pan. lol

Thanks, PixelStan77! Glad you liked it.
Still not able to fully "fill the frame" yet without cropping, but I'm getting better.

Really good shot. I've tried to do that, I know how hard it is.

very well done for a very difficult task
Well done, A small bird moving fast and changing direction quickly. I read you are trying to fill the frame next. Set goals and figure out how to achieve them.
