Didn't see any mention of spitting. Or is that only a Bactrian feature.

Thank you DragonsLady! I think the dromedary does some spitting too, but that behavior didn't fit into the flow of my captions ... With those teeth, I'm glad their not known as biters.

Thank you Ken, Charles, Ken Stern, Jack, Angler, Dave, nimbushopper, foathog, John, crafterwantabe, evenic, Blair, Susan, Dan! I found after editing the several zoos from late 2018 that I might have some good images, but they didn't fit together well for a consistent grouping and presentation. While searching the catalog to double-check the accuracy of keywords, I realized a collection of camels (and lions) created a good presentation. And then reading about camels, I found there's a lot more to them than a hump or two. Glad you enjoyed.

Very nice collection Paul. Some of the close ups reminded me of my Llama story and that you wouldn't want one of these to spit at you.

Another great set Paul. You always go that extra mile to make your posts not only interesting photographically, but historically as well. Thank you!

Excellent research backed up by phenomenal images. Thanks for sharing! Are you considering a follow-up about the Bactrian Camel?

Thank you cambriaman! It was an image of a Bactrian camel that started the whole thing .... but when I went looking for older camels, I learned / found it was dromedaries that I had more of image-wize. So, I'll have to build up a Bactrian portfolio to repeat with the two hump style.
