I enjoyed that. Thanks.
Thanks, woodworkernan. Glad you liked it.
Here's a trivia about Paul Desmond, the composer of "Take Five":
The composer, Paul Desmond thought the song was a throwaway — so much so that he once joked about using his entire share of royalties from the song to buy a new electric shaver.
https://www.npr.org/2000/11/19/1114201/take-fiveUpon his death in 1977, Paul Desmond left the rights to royalties for performances and compositions, including "Take Five", to the American Red Cross, which has since received combined royalties of approximately $100,000 per year.

Thanks for sharing, that was well done.
Thanks, CPR. Glad you liked it and I supposed, the Jazz genre in general.
Here's what they said about Jazz 65 years ago:
"The New Jazz Age. Across the U.S. the joints are really flipping. In Manhattan, CLUBS JUMPING AGAIN front-paged The Billboard. "A flock of nighteries and eateries have switched or converted to a jazz policy," specified Variety. The story is repeated in many cities. The new jazz age has impressed even such a long-(and grey-) haired musician as Pianist Artur Rubinstein. "The Americans are taking jazz very seriously," says he. "There is so much money in it."

Bottomline: Ain't no stopping Jazz!
Thanks for the thumbs up.

Cool!! I do that frequently. As I browse, write, even post process, I listen to jazz. I have 60,000+ mp3 files, mostly jazz and classical, on one of my internal data drives. And of course, there's always youtube.
Jazz/music rules! Unfortunately, much of today's music is rhythm with little music. My grandson is beginning to play jazz in his 8th grade jazz band and loves it. Yea for that!!

Wow! What a decision to make.
"Take Five" was the third track on the album Time Out, recorded in 1959. That was the year Miles Davis and Gil Evans introduced the jazz audience to modal music with the landmark album Kind of Blue.
https://www.npr.org/2000/11/19/1114201/take-fiveThanks for watching.
Loved "Take Five" with Paul Desmond on the alto sax and used to make a little noise on the alto sax myself, but he was way out of my league!
Take Five - best jazz tune ever written. Joe Morello raised it to new heights.

Fantastic! I have to admit that if I could only have one track, it would probably be Coltrane’s “My Favorite Things”. He takes a pop standard and turns it into the essence of what we call jazz. (Duke hated that term...). He alternated between purest joy and purest despair on the same melody, and ends with a question. Perfection in one take.
If I get to have a mixtape, it would also have “Sing, Sing, Sing”, “”April in Paris”, “Smile”, and “Mood Indigo” on it.
Call it jazz, improv, or the American art form. It’s what I want to hear on my deathbed.

Milestones is my ringtone and I love it but I'd take yours anytime too.
Just wonderful to hear so many good tunes from the 50-60s time frame. I enjoyed those musicians back then.
Just can't get excited about most everything I hear now.

Thanks for your remark. I enjoy listening to Jazz where the sax is the main performer.
With jazz, all I need is sax and I'm happy.
