Nothing like old prop-jobs in flight. Living history.

Good memories. Haven't seen a P-39 or an old P-51 In a long time. Was an aircraft mechanic on C-47's in 1943-44. Saw a lot of people parachuting out training for the invasion of Europe.

Awesome shots. Love the shots of the Paratroopers! Since I spent a portion of my youth jumping out of C-130s those bring back a lot of memories. I wish I could post some of the shots I had from those times but sadly on one of my moves the Army sent me to El Paso and god only knows where they sent my box of photos.
Great shots. You still have the blur of the props. Flew back from college in a C-47 in the winter. Pilots allowed us to warm up in the cockpit. The plane iced up and we had to land at Scott AFB. Jumped from a C-123 but always wonder what it would be like to exit from a C-47.

And 11 years later we were still using the T-10 chute.

Welcome! Nice images of interesting planes. Did they offer any rides at this event?
Yes, you could pay and go up.
Nice pics. The last couple bring back memories of the jumpmaster hollering at us on the way out he door. A truly unnatural act jumping out of a perfectly good airplane.

That was one of the reasons I jumped, I have never been a perfectly good airplane. Our Jump Master always led the first stick. Always wanted to grab the Air Farce crew chief and take him with me.
