My daughter's dog, Trio, from Liverpool, NY.

Too cute, Tom.
Thanks, Earl. Yeah, she's a good girl.
Love the light, tone, setting, and of course the subject!
But there's just one pooch here, Tom? I thought I was going to see a trio.
Trio is adorable, and I LOVE this portrait! Beautiful pooch, fantastic lighting and great texture. It doesn't get any better.

Thanks, Donna. I think the name has to do with some music references. Not necessarily a singing trio. As in The Kingston Trio. Trio is the second pet of the family and the first was "minnie" as in Minuet. They lost Minnie about 2 yrs ago. Since they are not together anymore, my daughter only sees Trio occasionally. She's really going through a very rough spot at this time and has moved out of the house where Trio lives. (in my opinion, a smart move)
Trio didn't like me very much early on. She even snapped at me a couple times. It didn't help that she only saw me twice a year. But, as she matured and settled down she accepted me into her life. She even hopped up onto my lap now and then. I would sit in that chair in the picture and Trio would hop up and snuggle between me and the arm of the chair. She's a good girl.
And thank you for the wonderful positive comments on the picture. It is much appreciated, Donna.
As always, it's good hearing from you.

Thank you, Donna. Yeah, she's got a long road ahead of her and she's doing the best she can under the circumstances. A big step was to move out and get an apartment. The apartment does not allow pets. That's why Trio is not there.
It's a long, sad story and I can't go into it here. Perhaps a PM down the road.
We'll be going up to Syracuse in May for my grand daughter's college graduation, so we'll see them both then for a couple days.
It's a bit difficult living so far away. Just can't visit as often. It's a 6.5 hours drive from MD to Syracuse. When she lived in Pittsburgh, it was only 4 hours away.

Oh Tom, Trio is just precious and I do hope everything will work out for you daughter. Life has a way of punching us in the stomach at times, but I hope things improve for her. Little Trio must be missing her companion, she looks a bit sad in the picture, of course that could just be her look. Our little Penny always looks a bit sad, it's the eyes, but I'm so happy for you that Trio is coming around to being a good friend to you. Thank you for sharing her with us and best wishes to your daughter and family.
