You did a beautiful job with these in color, composition and light. That is a very sobering place to visit especially when you look over to the cemetery and see all of the white crosses. I pray every day for the souls of all those young soldiers who gave all for us on that beach. Don Z.

Thank you donziska - yes, this is a very special place, looked so peaceful when we visited it but we just tried to visualize the scene there 75 years ago - hard to believe. In about 30 minutes I will post the pictures from the American cemetery with all those crosses - another very moving place.

Think positive about the weather, we have a saying in Switzerland "Wenn Engel reisen, lacht der Himmel" = When angels are traveling, the sky is smiling - so that should definitely apply to you!

I believe the post office should have a place in your 2020 calendar, Joe! So enjoyed viewing the joyful colors of the garden blooms.

Aw shuks, Diane - I should have probably put it into my 2016 calendar - I will only post pictures from the prior year in my calendar (and this trip was in 2015 - you know how slow I work!) - but I agree with you, I like the vibrant colors in those shots!
