I caught this little angel after she lost her way during a recital. C&C are welcome.
Brilliant shot! I'm not sure if the colouring works for me, I'd like to see it all black and white if you get the chance, just for comparisons. The parents should snap that up for framing (and embarrassing her with in later life!)
Oh dear,a lovely shot and well captured.I wonder what she will think of this photo in a few years time.I like the selective colouring as well.
Hammerboy...Thanks for your kind comment and for looking. The original is color and I don't have a completely B&W version as yet. I'll try to put one together for you and maybe can post tomorrow. Thanks again

www...poor little one...but, LOVE the shot!! Great idea, having the contrast of color. I Like it!
To better relate the story behind it I would render her in black and white and the others in color. Well I would try it anyway and see what comes of it...
I usually don't like selective color, as it tends to be over used. This works well here. In color, or all B&W, I think it would be less obvious that the little girl was crying.

Great job...poor girl :)
Thank you all so much for your comments and critique. I actually struggled a bit with the idea not wanting to appear to be "adding insult to injury" but, in the end, I felt leaving her in color gave me a way to relate how I think she must have felt at the time...sooo conspicuous! Yes...poor little thing and how many of us have been there at one time or another. Thanks again everyone!
I like the way you did this. The spot light is on her. Nice capture.
I dont know might be more dramatic if you made the subject b/w and the other girls in color,,,just a thought might make it seem shes farther lost then she is...love the shot btw
