I remember reading a while ago that PayPal was going to speed up delivery of money to your bank. On my recent sales, the money was transferred in less than 24 hours, even the same day in one case. If you haven't used PP, it's a convenient way to send money anywhere in the world. There's a fee, of course, but not many things are free.
Paypal transactions from my Paypal account direct to my debit card Visa have been taking less than 5 minutes for a 1% fee for a few months now. From my Paypal to my checking balance, a day. I've been using Paypal for a few years now and never a complaint. I can buy merchandise from a third party for a 3% fee the seller, or gift or buy using a method that allows me to pay the fee. Again, no flaws in the system, and can talk to chat or telephone support within minutes. Instructions are simple and easy to follow. Support is responsive until the problem is resolved. (If you even "really" have a problem)

I saw the option for a faster transfer, but I haven't needed that - yet.
Appreciate the info, got caught in a time warp a couple years ago when selling and needing the money to pay for the replacement item. Money back to my bank took quite a long time and had to be in $500 increments.
The seller finally opened an account so I could pay through PP.

Several years ago I had trouble using pay pal on three separate occasions. Will never use it again.

Great company, I’ve used them since their inception!

I just transferred funds from my Paypal account to my bank and it arrived in less than 5 minutes. I hit the button for immediate transfer by accident so there was a small fee (less than 2.00). Otherwise it would have gotten to my bank within 24 hours and no fee. I have used Paypal for years with nary a problem.
"Back in the old days" I would have to go to Safeway and send an American Express type of payment to my son in college and it would take several hours and cost 12.00. Walmart has a "Walmart to Walmart" transfer now that is instant and it costs 8.00. Neither of the aforementioned will transfer directly to your bank except Paypal.
A few years ago I got royally ripped off by a purchase off eBay and a pay through PayPal. Neither organization even lifted a finger to my complaint and ask for rectification. So screw me once, bad you. But screw me twice, bad me. To me Pay Pal is legalized theivery.
I’ve been using it for years, never a problem, even got quick turn around in canceled transactions. They used to have a 2 week delay on payments which allowed you to receive goods before payment but stopped offering that in the US...wish they still allowed it.
I have a PP business debit card, I can use the money put in my account immediately!!!
A non profit I volunteer for sold some raffle tickets to a woman who paid for them via PayPal. After the raffle was held, (she did not win), she complained to PayPal that her account had been used "without her authorization." We had sent her a confirmation email with her ticket numbers, so she had to have known that her account had been charged, yet PayPal upheld her complaint. Took them less than 24 hours after we submitted our response. Naturally, no rationale was offered. Like all monopolies, they are accountable to no one.

Definitely a bad experience. Did you talk to someone at PayPal or do it all on-line? I’ve found that to be the best way. If you have proof of the transaction you should “win”.
