OK I have a question then. When I take a video on this camera the spots appear all over the screen and if I turn in a full 360 the spots stay in the same place on the screen as I turn around. So if it was sunflare it wouldn't stay the same the spots would go on and off as the sun would be in a different position.

On Sunday I was out hiking and a friend took a picture of me and I am surrounded by a blue orb. I think I will post it on the forum. If I post it on here I don't know where it will end up. I showed it to my plumber who was here to get paid and he said it reminded him of Skinwalker Ranch where they have a lot of trouble with the blue orbs. I am not really familiar with Skinwalker Ranch I just know the bare outline of that story.

Thanks guys for the help.

Try Orb-Away! psychic orb repellant from Proctor & Gamble.

My old LPs have started to skip. Do you think it might be the Blue Orbs?

I am new here and this is my first attempt at posting. I have a Canon SX-280 P & S and my usual setting is "auto." But often I get these spots or "orbs" on my pictures especially with this camera. Here's an example taken in Queenstown Tasmania over a year ago. The engine was still in its stall and my camera was pointed inside with the sun outside the building. With short videos I tend to get these spots a lot.

Use a hood. Don't use a filter.

I'm just taking my new Panasonic zs-100 out of the box. It will be interesting to see if I get orbs on that. I still have most of my old LPs but unfortunately I sold my parents really nice hi-fi and turntable after they died for $25. Stupid now I wish I had it back. So I can't check for blue orbs on my records.
