I used to put pictures on Flickr; stopped because I could do it, only one at a time; is there now a way to upload a batch of photos ?

For your account go to the Flickr camera roll in a browser window. Then, from the folder with your image files, select and drag as many as desired onto the tab with the camera roll. When you release the selected files, a batch uploader starts. You can also repeatedly drag more files into the same browser tab and the queue of images being processed just gets extended until all the images are uploaded.

Yes, but it may only be available to paid subscribers (since I am paying, I don't know how the free accounts work). These days, most of my uploading to Flickr (and to my church's SmugMug account) is done via the "Publish" feature of Adobe Lightroom, and that function does handle multiple uploading.

Shutterfly is fast uploading, no limit and free.

Have a 4-H Horse group that would like pictures of their event. I take lots for my own use but would like to make them available to the public for a short period of time, do not want to deal with 100 parents/grandparents looking for a specific child. Would be at no charge by me, ideally they could simply review and download the photo they want. If they were online for 48 hrs would be long enough.

Many choices for free - Google drive (up to 15 GB), Flickr, Instagram just to name a few...

I've used Smugmug for years and love it. Reasonable pricing and great site.

Facebook works well for me. I do youth hockey here in NY and post anywhere between 40-60 pictures per game, sometimes 4 games in a day. I've put up as many as 176 for one game. A lot of people have facebook accounts, making it easy for them to find and download. Easy to use. No cost to anyone.

I use Google Photos. I make albums for groups of pictures, and I can let different groups see different albums. Very easy and convenient.

Plus you not only have a nice album but they can download one or more or the entire album as a zip file.

Don’t use Facebook...they compress the images and the downloads will not stay true to size/resolution.

Who owns the photos posted on FB?

I have been using Google Photos for a number of years now for my real estate photography. It is free. I upload the resized (Low Res) images from my computer to my account and send the link to my agent/clients to download. In addition to being able to download the images, there is also a slideshow feature.

I do the same for my coach son's college soccer team. You can put up to 40 pics in a post, but by clicking "create album" I have put hundreds in the album and they load so quickly and available to anyone with a Facebook account at no cost. They simply click my name to access.

I am a member of www.viewbug.com
I have found the group of, I think, 500K plus is composed of many levels of photographer and several professional level. Great for posting photographs and getting reviewed, always positive. Many opportunities to learn and take part in challenges.
