Beautiful; haven't been there in years.
Image #1 is your best shot as the rest needs to have more work done. Selected another time of day to attempt these shots again. Best early morning or early evening. Sunlight can be your friend or your enemy.

This is one of the most unique places I have visited. It is just West/Southwest of Arches National Park. My wife and I stayed in Moab, UT. which is a good starting point for both parks. Canyonlands NP is divided into four districts.
1. Island in the Sky which is located in the Northern part.
2. The Needles which is located in the Southern part.
3. The Maze which is located in the Western part.
4. The Colorado and Green Rivers which run through the Canyonlands.
The difference between Island in the Sky and Needles is striking. Both are of a different in altitude and geology. These pictures of The Needles and some sights along the way.
Thanks for looking.

These are great shots of one of my favorite places to visit. When I was there a couple years ago, I took a car ride south out of Moab to La Sal Loop Rd. It turned out to be a great ride. It takes you through some beautiful vistas and overviews and the final loop takes you along the Colorado River before returning to Moab. For those who are visiting that area, it’s something you might want to check out.
A beautiful set of one of the most beautiful places on the planet.
Absolutely beautiful images - well done!
Beautiful contrast of blues and shades of rust. Don Z.

Excellent! I am also heading out there next month... you are whetting my appetite.
The Needles District is about an hour and a half drive Southwest of Moab, UT. If driving down from Moab you will pass Looking Glass Rock, Wilson's Arch, and Church Rock. All are close to Highway 191. I cannot stress enough to have a full tank of gas, water, and food/snacks. Just South of the road over to The Needles is Monticello, UT. The Needles is in the middle of nowhere. Beautiful but rugged. There is a visitors center. There used to be a little store just before you get to the visitors center. Not sure if it is still there. Anyway.......this is a spectacular drive that will impress.
Hope this helps.

Nice series. Was in that area fall 2017.
Beautiful. Reminds me of Heart of Rocks in AZ.
