Good, never should have been passed and signed into law. It was (is) a terrible law and too expensive for the individual and drastically added to the national debt.
Aren't there still some 30 million US citizens uninsured? Wasn't O'care supposed to fix that? How many were uninsured prior to O'care?
Covering pre-existing conditions at the same level premium as everybody else who does not have them, is very same reason why they don't accept lottery ticket sales for the drawing they already held last night... and another example of just how screwed up some peoples sense of fairness really is.
So you think you should be able to buy insurance after you have an accident/whatever. That isn't insurance, that's a bailout. To add insult- you can then cancel your insurance after they paid for your whatever. THAT ISN'T INSURANCE. DUH!!!
Where I work, the inpatient rehab center is held responsible if the patient relapses for the same thing you treated and released them for- whatever that is... even though the vast-primary reason is a known statistic of them personally failing to take their meds, or followthough with exercise, diet etc... You should see the extra hoops we have to jump through to try and hold peoples hand after they are in their own homes or we'd get stuck withthe bill NOT THE PERSON WHO HURT THEMSELF- who pays for that??? Our current customers in part, or we don't hire people or skip raises etc. SOMETHING HAS TO GIVE. Almost makes it worth getting out of the business, in fact we are cutting beds and moving to more lucrative services. When it gets to that point, and there is no place to get rehab- then what is your answer- bet you could take a few in your house. ROFL!!! Nah- you ALL are too good at spending other peoples money to ever consider spending your own.
It's all about removing personal responsibility and getting somebody(s) who is responsible - to pay for it. You know- mommy and daddy government.
Hey Art, Obamacare sucked, the president had to repeatedly lie to the nation for 2 years to get it passed, if the republicans kill Obamacare and offer nothing of substance in its place..... Well then we will have a new president in 2021, so why not sit back and see what happens.
Why do you want something ruled unconstitutional to continue?

I totally disagree, any survivor of cancer who for whatever reason, like employment separation or in the old days maxing out insurance limits would be seriously threatened because they clearly would not be able to afford to replace their policy. There has to be a solution for preexisting conditions.

While you conservatives apparently like to blame the victims who have illness (which might be appropriate for you smokers in the crowd) I could offer up hundreds of examples before Obamacare where people suffered greatly. A few: A young woman with disabling rheumatoid arthritis who was covered for her expensive medication while her husband served in the military - now that he is out she cannot afford the $2500 per month and has relapsed to having painful, swollen joints. She is the caregiver for their disabled son, so she lives with great challenges every day. I guess she doesn't deserve health care. The couple I took care of for years - they always had health insurance through his work until he retired and went on Medicare. She was a few years younger - they couldn't afford to buy her health insurance on his Social Security and she didn't work outside the home - had stayed home and raised three children. Sadly, I diagnosed her with cancer. It was hard to get them the care they needed, and at one office visit they broke down crying, telling me: "it feels like we are begging for charity every step of the way". They had to mortgage their paid-for house and the last time I saw him - several years after she died, he was working at Walmart to make the mortgage payment so that he could stay in their home.
This is the reality of the "normal" situation - what many of you want us to return to.
Yes, happy.
Now go eat some more crow.
Yes, Im happy because those people already had health care and Obamacare destroyed health care for more than 21 million Americans. You wouldn't know because you have NEVER been on an individual private plan. Obama care is an abject failure not to mention the immorality of the death panels.

Finally an honest repub. they are responsible for their injuries so they should pay for them. Healthcare is not lucrative when you have to stand behind their work so let’s get out.
Of course he does not believe that for his own medical needs. Especially ones he caused himself. Overeating and lack of exercise, cause diabetes. Should have to pay it yourself. Cancer from smoking. Self caused, pay it yourself. Not the 30% of bill that commercial insurance pays but the whole bill just like selfpay patients. Motorcycle accident, pay it all yourself. Military injury, you joined knowing it was a chance so you pay your bill. See how far your stupid thinking can go.
Yes, it goes along with murdering new born babies (infanticide) so whatcha complaining about?
