Streaming video, USB sticks. I have a $25 Amazon Fire stick plugged in to my TV. It is linked to my tablet. I can select any movie on Amazon, touch an icon an the Fire Stick plays it.

We have the "Great Courses" series by subscription and the Fire Stick plays that. I have not tried playing a movie file that way yet.

Some day, you may just set up an iTunes commercial account and have them pay a small amount to watch it on their phones!

BTW, I am dealing with the same challenges regarding an upcoming book to podcasting. I used to do cassettes and CDs, but doing it online as an audio book seems the best choice, especially for my target audience.

Blu Ray and then 4K Blu Ray. I think 8K is on the horizon.

To answer your question, no, not a DVD-R... On a DVD-RW, yes.

May I suggest uploading to YouTube and including the title (for searching) or link with the DVD so they can let grandparents, other family, friends, etc know by email, text or social media where they can also watch the team's 3rd place. DVD's are ok for an individual but are obsolete technology.

Could be more than just one disc. For example, if there are several hundred discs involved, then it makes sense to find out if one can rewrite them to save money.

I tend to by CD and DVD-RW stuff at Off Max - just like spending money locally when possible. Taxes are taxes, but my community can use my tax $ better than some far off gov’t agency.

I agree 100% - I only mentioned B&H because just received an ad and many here worship at that "church" but mentioned buying elsewhere. I buy local when I can but have to admit Amazon keeps making it easier & more desirable.

I already have an "m-disc/ blu-ray"- will be unknown in 20 years. Big, slow, handy tho

Can something be considered obsolete if it's still used by millions of people? DVD /Blu-ray is still pretty mainstream, Yet some people talk about them as though they are 78 RPM shellac records being played by a steel needle on a hand cranked Victorola.

It's extremely humorous to me that this site is so full of folks that want to "own" their PP software but then claim that tangible media for their music, movies, and data are passe and obsolete.

As others have said, there are no dumb questions. However, as you wander around this site, you will find there are a lot of dumb answers. Heck, I have probably given some of them myself. But even this is part of the search for knowledge.
