It's a cheap Korean-made lens so I wouldn't expect a great quality pictures coming out of it, but I'd still be interested to hear anyone's experience with it, possibly showing some pictures taken with it. Thanks and have a great light! ;)
...yeah, as I understand, the same lens came out under 5 or 6 different names...I couldn't find any review on any of them, though...

Thanks, Mogul, I am already aware of the multiple 'make'. What I am looking for is somebody who's got any experience with any of them. :)

The smaller one I have is very challenging to use to say the least...but you can get some ok shots with it...treat it more like a toy....fun to play with.

I haven't tried any of them, but if you compare the specs between the Rokinon and the Vivitar, there is a significant difference for about the same price. Remember, these are both T-mount lenses and were built to provide long lenses for photographers who couldn't afford OEM lenses. If you want to compare just those two lenses, go to:

So what you're saying is that these ones would be quite difficult to handle? I don't intend to use it for sports, more like facial recognition fom distance. What worries me is a lack of sharpness, massive chromatic aberration and flares.

Its an all manual lens...it wont work with your metering systems at all. I use mine for wildlife....birds and that kind of stuff...if you like I can post a couple shots I got with it.

The specs are not revealing what I'm after, really. As I mentioned to Bret, I'd like to know how sharp an image comes out (priority no. 1), also issues regarding chrom-ab and flares. The price is most probably too good to deliver acceptable quality, I'm affraid...Thanks for the links though!

How far were you shooting from? The sharpness is actually quite acceptable for what I need it for! Both pics are good, thanks!

The GBH was at about 60 feet....and the blue bird I had to back up...to close for MFD...was about 30 feet.
