An interesting reply, which I hope I fully understand. As I see it imagination is mental imagery. For example: a young man may imagine himself in love when in fact his hormones are lusting after a young woman. This may be a deliberately created distortion, but to the young man his passion is very real. In my experience, in that dark place, nothing in my mind was deliberately created. My demons (for the lack of a more precise word) came unbidden despite my efforts to block them. I admit I had no professional help and none was offered years ago. Today I am a balanced and kind person (that's what my friends and family tell me) which is what I strive to be. This came about not through sudden revelation but through a growing conviction that there is something greater and more loving than the 'real' world around us. Reality is based on life experience and you may see the world differently from me. I chose the path I now walk. I see the hand of God in all the wonders of the world around me. I don't deny that sickness and evil exists in the same world. I don't know why, however, that evil seems come from evil people. I'll stop here and let you get a word in.
