The single shot and some of the series of these egrets fighting ran on the UK Daily Mail site, Yahoo News, and was a DD pic for Nat Geo.

Some site in Arabic, don't even know what it is.

Here's some site in Slovak. I like how they personally watermarked the image that was stolen from me.

Here's the full series on my blog:

Excellent series, Phil. Sorry to see not only the un-authorized use of your images, but credit falsely awarded to someone else.

I love this shot. I would be less than happy about the stolen work, but you sure did get global coverage.

Thanks very much I'm glad you like this.
I don't get too bent out of shape when I see my photos lifted and showing up in various places. Once they have been published by a legitimate news source and they are out there little can be done to prevent anyone, anywhere from grabbing it.

A couple months ago I received an anonymous email from someone who suggested I check out a photo contest because he thought one of the entered photos looked familiar. Turns out some guy took an osprey shot of mine and entered it as his own. Now that takes brass ones!!

I never did bother to check to see how the guy made out in the contest but was wondering later if I would feel better if the guy won or if he came in last? :-o

I recently found out that some site in Russia grabbed it from Nat Geo and ran it. Well at least they credited me. :-)

The caption translates out to: "Herons fighting for the best spot for fishing. South Carolina."

I guess you just have to be glad that the people in Russia are enjoying your work also. I see they left the NG logo on it also. I suppose it would be pretty hard to fight it.
