In grad school, a prof of mine stated that the wearable chip will soon become a required implant. That was 20 years ago. And the madness continues. Appreciate the post.

If it will help, in 1976 I was assigned to the Naval Photographic Center in Washington, DC and it still had a R & D section then. In conversation with one of the staff, I was told that the navy had a film that recorded 11000 line pairs/mm according to tests and computations (Tri-X at the time only could get a fraction of that and the most normally discerned was 700 line pairs/mm). Remember this was in 1976. I asked where they were going with this and was told that the inventor of the film had stopped work on it because he was working on a process for high temperature color film processing so that the civilian color labs could process film faster and make more money by processing more film in a given amount of time. Knowing that they had a that film in 1976 makes sme wonder what they have now.
