Many years ago I took this photo of my biking buddy talking to an old dude fishing in Montana. Now I'm an old dude.

Ummm in Montana they use a Fly Rod are you sure it is Montana?Oh for the days of film except for the cost of developing and that would kill ya ... have several rolls I found out in the shed from our move to where we are now and I guess I will take them to a friend of ours and have them developed .... I have many photo envelopes full of prints and the negatives maybe before the warm weather gets here I will have to put them on a CD ..... anyway nice picture from the days of film!

Boy look at the noise in there. What about the lens spots, is that on your sensor. It's perfect. It's time remembered.
I can't believe we complain about noise in digital. It's just not the same.
Your camera doesn't know how old you are.

Nice silhouette. If it wasn't for the slight color on your buddy's hair, I would have said it was photoshopped on purpose.

This photo was taken in 1983, somewhere around Chico, Montana. Can't remember for sure, but I think it was along Rt 89 south of Great Falls. The "noise" is dust speck that were on the slide I digitized. It seems that it's almost impossible to remove all of the dust before hand. I've used micro fiber cloths, compressed air, camel hair brushes and still it's usually necessary to do some post processing to make the specks go away. Other than knowing I was using Ektachrome and a Vivitar SLR, I have no idea of any other camera settings.

Apart from the obvious noise and dust I really like the shot itself. It manages to tell a clear story without distracting details. I'm engaged in what they may be discussing and whether the fish are biting or not. I like it.
