Great pose on the first! I particularly enjoy photos in which the bird us doing something. And I really like the blurred and unsaturated background on the third. That really keeps attention on the bird. Did you do anything in post-processing to accentuate that effect?

I'm pretty terrible in processing, the only thing I do is crop a little bit and hit the auto lighten tab. Pretty much right out of the camera.

Looks like the river is really opened up at this time.
My last time up that way it was almost completely frozen over and the birds moved.
I'll have to get back up there soon.
I have done most of my shooting over at the two Brownsville overlooks and up near the spillway in Onalaska.

Thanks Tom, I'll have to check out the spillway, the river is still locked up at Shopko Bay, so they are pretty much all oround Riverside Park area.
