3 in 12 tries is the same as 1 in 4.

In these types of exercises it is not uncommon to see respondents make assumptions as to the meaning of the question which, if so applied, radically alters the meaning of the question and therefore the resulting value or relevance of their answer. It is not a "trick" question by any means as the rules as laid down are very clear. Only after the die has been rolled and the result, being a number from 1 to 6, is noted, is the coin flipped. The only possible result of the "roll" is a number and either heads or tails is possible after the "flip". There is zero possibility that the die can produce a head or a tail nor is there any chance that a flip can produce a number. P.S. How good would it be if you could re-write difficult exam questions so they suit your answers.

Alright Blurry, Ive been watching your posts lately, and you, like my Brother happen to have a knack for math and all the crap that is involved with it. I have a Query for you...what is the only word in the English language that has no vowel? 8-)

lol cwm at least that is what wiki says... if you accept that one then maybe you might also like... crwth

Both words are Welsh and I have never heard either used. Crm is a hollow or valley, and crwth is a Welsh musical instrument.

Alright Blurry... Obviously you are very well informed with math, but you really have NO CLUE when it comes to english language. Too bad. Most Americans do not give a rat's ass about math. Proper grammar is, however a better subject. I figured that you were and are a blowhard with this post that you have been sending, but really, what do you know? The only word in the English language that has no vowel is NTH. As in the NTH degree. Or nth degree. It depends on however you happen to use it. Look up "Pretentious/Arrogant" on your whatever site you go to, and instead of sharing things that you have seen on-line, share what you know and not things you think you know. Someone else will call your bluff, and all you are doing is making yourself look like a fool. 8-)

Blurry and winterrose, did you miss taking your medications today??? You know that you need them so get back on the program and perhaps then you might be able to form a semblance of a comment. I'm not putting ya down, just trying to let you see how down you are.

Is this person for real? If so, should this be a warning to all you young folk out there that this is likely a classic example of what excessive drinking over much too long can do to your brain?
