Man made god, god did not make Man.
Islam was 'invented' 500 years after christianity and is behaving as christians did 500 years ago.

Also this letter is a spoof, I have seen so many like it, from some extreme right wing christian source, just ignore it.

Does it matter who wrote it or their polical orientation? The question is:is it accurate and does it apply. I think it does!

A large majority of the people here in America( like you )
are ignoring it, as well as every thing else that has to do with facts. As for your statement" Man made god, God did not
make man" all I have to say is my Bible tells me that my
God made man, which I have proof, your here and I'm here.
Now if your statement is true, please could you show me proof
as to where is your god ?

Does not matter who wrote the letter. The subject is very real, and silence has always been the reason for the capitulation of the peaceful.

The bible was written by Man, not god.
Why should the bible be THE reference book?
The Koran is a later addition, so by definition is more up to date.

Well, If you want a holy book that truly up-to-date, try "Dyanetics" by L. Ron Whatzizname. Remember, religion is what the IRS says it is.

A local politician here said he votes against abortion also in the case of rape "because the rape was god´s will"...

Others ask for creationism to be taught in schools.

Where does fanatism start?

Simple, Fanatism starts when you leave God out.
Now wasn't that simple. You see God doesn't only
provide your needs, but also the answer to your questions.
All you have to do is ask.

That's funny, and the fanatics insist that they do it in the name of God.

I think everyone should wake up to the malign influence of religion in every denomination. Its origins were the means of power by priests over people. Thus they all distorted normal human values. We now have this fanaticism, but it is not new. History tells us that some of the most heinous crimes have been committed in the name of religion. Until and unless human beings come to accept other human beings irrespective of religion, colour, creed whatever, unless we can remove the crudest of prejudices possessed by people, mayhem will continue.

Wow have you had your head in the sand or up a lower part of your anatomy - Don't you ever read "History Books" - listen to the "Old folks" like the survivors of Nazi work camps - This article did not mention the Japanese or folks like Napoleon and the early world exploration and domination of the English, French & Germans. Not to mention the Catholics -Read a great history of them in "The Yucatan Before and After The Conquest"
Read of what Islam is doing in Spain right now -quietly but creeping in to take over.

The fact that there are so many different interpretations on the nature of God (as well as the number of gods there are) indicates to me that God is a fictional, invented being.
