Yep, if you use your imagination it can remind you of the famous one in England. The origin of this one is known, and it exists on a lawn in Brazil, Indiana. Fifteen semi-trailer loads of Indiana limestone were hauled from Bloomington IN quarries, and the structures assembled by a sculptor using a 50 ton crane. Each stone weighs between 10 and 20 tons. In all there are 45 stones. The owner says it is quite a conversation piece.

Hello fellow Hoosier. I live in Plainfield. You need to check this out in better weather. Lots of sorta unusual things in Indiana. We have checked out a number of them. Do you know about the road that has a grave in the middle of it?

Very cool.

I bought a mini "Build Your Own Stonehenge" kit from Amazon. I will be setting it up at work next to my mini Easter Island Heads.

Little berg off Hwy 31 south Franklin. I have not been there for some time. Have a couple photos from way back. May try to post them. Quite a story behind the grave.

I'd love to see the photos if its not too much trouble. And, give a mention for any more strange places in IN.

Nice photos, and interesting set-up. For anyone into Neolithic structures, there's a site much more troubling than this one, located in New Hampshire near Canobie Lake.

Years ago, it was simply known as 'Mystery Hill,' but more recently has been titled 'America's Stonehenge.' They're still arguing over who built it, and when. Visited the site some twenty years ago, and have no photos to share, but there are plenty of web sites devoted to it.

Thanks: we have a Mystery Hill relatively near us, not real sure what the mystery is. Something involving gravity I think

I will see what they look like, and post if acceptable.
I guess many of the places we go to in Ind are not strange but to us and others they are interesting. Did you see the post couple weeks or so ago Re: railroad trestle? here in Indiana and is said to be longest in US. Do you know about the shoe tree?
and about the basket mechanism in Stouts Shoe Store downtown. Other things may come to mind. Can perhaps share with you thru private messages later.
