Saw that hawk twice today, so high up and lots more obstacles the second time. Really need to get me that Sig 500!

I live in an apt. in a city and have a small outdoor patio area. I was very pleasantly surprised at the variety of birds that I have seen here.

Very nice set Doris!!! Do you have or can put some feeders on you patio? They make feeders that go on railings. Just a thought to get them a little closer to you.:) Tom seems to be able too. He just puts seeds on the railing and sits in where it is warm and shoots through the windows.:)

I have feeders up Erv, near a half dozen. Some days the birds just aren't at the feeders or fly away quickly. There is a side street right there and a lot of things scare them away: lawn mowers, kids on skateboards, motorcycles, airplanes, people talking on cellphones, helicopters, emergency & police sirens, people walking dogs, the hawks coming in and the list goes on.
When I catch them in the trees, I always try to get a shot. Meaning whatever opportunity presents itself, no matter the circumstances, I go for it.
