HDR/B&W of a forest fire

Just to the west of where I live along the Banff National Park east boundary there was a huge forest fire about 10 years ago. The regrowth is really fascinating to see. But most importantly from a photo point of view the area provides awesome black and white and abstract photo opportunities.

Really nice B & W photo, my preferred format.

I like the perspective very much. And you surely captured the starkness of the landscape.

I like your photo very much and agree that this kind of devastated landscape lends itself very much to b/w images. I'm drawn to it for another reason, though: my favorite area was visited last May (and continuing through June and into July) by a huge wildfire, the largest in the state's history. I've been out taking photos of the aftermath. It's a heartwrenching endeavor, and I'm aware that much of the landscape is forever changed. Yet I still feel that what remains deserves to have its portrait taken, and so I thank you for doing the same in your state.

It does look good in B&W. Forest fires are so sad, aren't they? Good job riderfan!
