Peacock in a Cedar Tree

On the way home a couple of days ago I spotted this peacock roosted in a cedar tree. It was a great reminder to take the blinders off and soften the eyes to really see the world around.

No accident, but I did have to back up. I live 6 miles from town down a dirt road. Not much traffic.

Peacocks live in Western Colorado?!? Cool pic - reminds me of the heron I saw walking the ridge of an apartment building, rather than in the shallows.

Well, I've learned that they have "wild" peacocks in the UK, but in Colorado?? He's beautiful and good pics twna!

No, peacocks are not wild in Colorado. Evidently someone nearby has some and he went for a walk about.
