Just "Elle"

Elle was playing with her doll, the ladies were talking, I snapped this shot with my point and shoot compact. I attempted to black out the background, this was the final result :thumbup: :thumbdown: cc welcome..but I do know the hair in the sunlight from the window is burnt out lol

Ah, who cares about the highlights. It's a nice informal portrait of a girl "being a girl". It belongs on the wall in your office.

Hi LR :-) thanks for replying, I know it isn't perfect but at the end of the day her mother loved it, so that'll do for me. :thumbup:

Just try using the burn tool in PE you will recover some of it I believe.

I'm curious to see what you come up with. If it's clipped on the histogram, it's gone. Now I have seen photos that were fixed by masking and layering, e.g. a blown out sky... but the details weren't recovered, but were replaced.

Hi LR :-) I have since experimented with the burning tool but not on this photo, it is a very effective tool when used sparingly. I will at some point try it on "Elle" :thumbup:
