Birds in the rain

It was one of those mornings where it was cold and raining too much to go out, but the birds were busy.

The resident mockingbird spent much of its time defending its territory. Of all of the birds that came around, it seemed to be bothered the most by the rain.

The doves showed up between showers.

It will be nice when more colorful birds start showing up.

Thanks Michael. Unfortunately these were taken through a very dirty, tinted window. I guess it's time to get out the squeegee and hose. :-)

You can get such great and unexpected results by taking photos in the rain. I accidentally did the same thing and loved the results. See my post:
