So, do you throw copper on your fires too? Just don't want to make food on that fire. Toxic, but beautiful. Here's one of my shots, but no copper added. (lol) 8-)
Our bonfire
Yes we do! My sisters bf works for lee company and always gets copper to scrap so that our idea of scrapping;) I love the fire shots guys!! Fire always looks so intriguing in pictures

I didn't see anything like that on the pictures and videos of the 9-11 crime, only smoke.
Please. Share ISO, F/s, SS and filters for these great pics.

oh the photos of the stakes and the photo of the fire make me famished. now all i need is a photoo of a baked potato, an icy cold coke in a glass bottle, and a slice of apple pie, then i can be photo stuffed.

Hi Caitlyn, I wanted to ask you on the second photo, you got the sparks sort of like fireworks and the color is slightly different then the typical colbalt blue and gree, yours is red and green - how did you do that? Usually, we make the bon fire, get the treats first, then throw on the copper. We definitely don't eat afterwards and sometimes the smoke is black...so we move far away. I use a telephoto lens so we get back from the fire. I'm going to find more pics. I love this thread...Cheryl

We never do treats becasue we are always busy playin cornhole(some call it bag toss) while the fire is going, usually the games get pretty intense so we are always distracted!! haha but I am not exactly sure how the colors happened that way. I took some pictures(like this one) at f9 and shutter at 1/5 then changed it to f4 and they still had the same look. we had been adding desiel to it so the flame would get higher so that also might be a reason there is less green/blue! I sat right next to the fire to get these pictures just so i could get them at different angles. Also the ISO was at 200. Thankfully we had a slight breeze going so all the smoke was going to one side of the fire it barley came at me at all! Hope that helps=]
my first picture was taken at ISO 100 f8. 1/125. the second at ISO 200 f10. 1/8, the third at ISO 200 f9. 1/5, the fourth at ISO 200 f5. 1/25 and the last one at ISO 200 f3.5. 1/20
sorry I always forget to put those up! please forgive me=]
Took these Thanksgiving morning last year. 4 A.M. we heard the firetrucks a block away so I ran out.....camera in hand.
Love the colors, very nice
