Video and the D7000

Can someone please help me with autofocus in movie mode. My D7000 does not seem to change focus when I'm shooting video. Have I set the AF wrong? What are the basic settings to create video?

I have only once used it for video and when you part press the release when shooting it should "track the subject face recognition etc
