This is a Western Pacific Rattlesnake. About 2' in length. Taken at the long end of my 16-85. I was wishing I had my macro along.

Nice. Yes if they come up with a 500mm macro lens....say with a 6ft MFD...sign me up...lol. Oh wait....thing would most likely be around 25k....think I'll wait...lol

Could have gone all day without seeing that great shot. Had an encounter with a copperhead at about that distance one time. Lost my love for snakes right there and then.
