It's really getting dry here.
These were taken yesterday at Canton Lake with typical Oklahoma 20-40 mph winds. Best thing was the awesome sunset.
Looking at dam.
The boat ramp.
No wake.
Awesome sunset.
I hope this shows how the wind was blowing.
Our Reservoir for drinking water is way down too. Past half.
Good set Steve, you wont believe it with all the rain we've had over here but thats how our reservoir's will look after a hot spell in summer.

This lake is Okc, Ok. back up water supply. They already drained their lake [Hefner] and now getting what is left of Canton by way of the North Canadian river to fill Hefner again. And the idiots are still watering their lawns. I'm just wandering what they are going to do when all the lakes go dry? Thank you for commenting.

We are getting close to having watering lawns stopped. One good thing the residents of Corpus Christi seem to believe what they are told. I am in an apartment and I use water very sparingly. My plants on the balcony are watered with rain water, when we get it. Usually I have a good collection of rain water.
Texas rain guage.

That rain guage is way bigger than what we needed the last 2 summer. Just hot and dry.
Danged it. Double post.
Interesting photos, which show the dryness very well. Gotta say I loved the 'no wake' sign. Hope you get some needed rain soon!
We live in the Black Hills of South Dakota and we have a reservoir that till this last spring was real low then it started to refill and we went into another drought middle of the summer now we have had a little bit of snow this late in the season we will see where it goes. The only good thing about the water dropping about 12 feet is that it becomes a beach combers delight a metal detector and a shovel one can't believe the things that can be found , money fishing poles, lures, and jewelry, Well it is the people that come up from Rapid City that lose the stuff and it is their waste that drops the level of the water so that they can't float their boats. They still run the sprinklers morning noon and nite oh well sucks to be them.
I failed to mention your pics.
all are great, Love the sunset.
