Cleaned Lens

My wife purchased a simple lens cleaning kit for me last week, the kit worked great, leaving no streaks or the like. Then I noticed a fine haze on the inside of the lens, so decided to disassemble the lens and clean the insides as well. After a day of careful work these are the results. The lens is about 20 years old, so it was worth the effort.

f 2.8
1/8 sec.
ISO 1600
135mm
Hand held and no flash.

The lens is the prized Maxxum Minolta 135mm 1:2.8 (32) lens.
After cleaning and assembly, I had to increase the shutter speed to prevent overexposure at f 2.8. It's like having a brand new factory fresh lens in my collection again! Our cat Roo-Roods, ever curious poses for a moment. Now to take the lens outdoors and get some photos of the Iditarod Dog Race next week, but get some practice with this lens before the Great begins. Very pleased with the results! :-)

Wow, Thanks for telling me so, as I had no idea...he had a previous owner that lost or abandoned him. We made a good faith effort to find the owner, he even had an RFID tag that was not registered at the pound over a year ago, so we took him in when he happened by our home. We love him to pieces, and has a beautiful personality to match! :-)

Sorry to break your bubble, but although he's a fine looking fellow, he's not a Maine Coone. MC's have much longer fur. All cats have an "M" just some are more predominate.
