Love the shot, it looks like jewels hanging on and love the colors closer to the bottom. Great shot
Those are the large starfish we get around here. They are really bright.

neat!
Great shot. Love the colors
This turned out really nice. the colors of the starfish are brought out since there is so much barnacle and barnacle is not pretty by itself, plus it hurts when you step on it. Composition is wonderful. Made me linger a bit.

Thanks for your comment. Really nice of you!
Thanks to everyone!
I really like this shot. We don't get the colorful starfish here, so those were a treat. I make shell wreaths from the stuff I find on the beaches here in NC, so was interested to see what kind of shells were on the pier. I downloaded your image and it appears that there are a lot of California, Blue and Horse Mussles, as well as a lot of barnacles. Good thing I am 3,000 miles away, or some of them would have gone into my collecting bins to be used on my wreaths. :-)
I would be happy start a collection for you, they wash up on shore after the rough weather. All I have to do is remember a bag to put them in.
Thanks,

Thanks,
When I beachcomb, I always carry several grocery plastic bags with me to gather both treasures and trash (unfortunately sometimes more of that than the treasures). Send me a PM and I will give you my address if you are serious about adding to my collection. :D
