Water Drops

Cold front came thru yesterday and sent my spiders into hiding. To cold to do any birding on the Lake. The kids are happy reading some books and I had the day off. After doing some odds and ends I picked the camera up and tried some water drops. I had to use flash as I don't have lots of lights around the house, didn't want to dig them out so, it is what it is. But hey, I'm shooting instead of thinking about it.
First ones are to dark, then I lowered the aperture and they got a little brighter
100mm macro lens/F/14 to F/18/ISO320/ 1/250 shutter speed with speedlite. Nothing fancy, just squeezed the dropper and took the shot.

This guy does some killer shots and uses all kind of gadgets, but tells you how to do it simple. Keep your ISO low and your flash power low. Also focus Just in front of your drop, you want the outside of the splash to be sharp, not the inside. http://www.diyphotography.net/the-comprehensive-water-drop-photography-guide

I think time well spent and fun. Simple set up works for me and you captured these really well. I actually like the dark colors of what ever you had reflecting the color.
I see the little girl in bonnet, too. Rlaugh, your mind probably is frenetic.
