I stopped off at a boat launch to see if there was anything worth photographing. Wish I could have gotten these at another time of day, but they kind of tell a story.
There's an interesting structure down river that is a rotating train trestle (?). Most of the time it's in the position as shown so boats can pass. On the rare occasions when I train comes through, it is rotated to connect tracks on opposite sides of the river.
As the sailboat passed and approached the freeway overpass, it almost looked like it couldn't fit under the freeway.
See what you think.
Nice pictures...I wouldn't mind putting my boat in that river. Did you notice anyone catching anything in that first pic?

This part of the river, the Petaluma River, is about a mile up from San Francisco Bay, so once you've launched, you an quickly (depending on your boat) gain access to the north part of the bay.
I thought I saw them with a fairly good sized fish at one point. I was only at the launch about 15 minutes - not enough time to observe. They seemed to be having a good time whether or not they were catching much. That's what fishing's about.

Thanks for looking and commenting.
Nice story-telling with these. Few things in life better than sailing.

I've never been sailing and can only imagine how it must feel. Thanks for looking.
