Hi folks,
just wondering if by chance, if anyone might have an old camera bag thrown in a closet that may be free looking for a good home.
I've been pricing new and used equipment so I can start over.
Many of you regulars seen my post about my house fire and know I lost everything.
Ins company depreciated everything so bad even things that weren't a week old. Dummy me I didn't have replacement value so I'm screwed.
So if anyone has anything free or very reasonable I would give it a good home make it write letters often to the giver and cherish the open heart.
A couple months before the fire I had "given" all my studio equipment and a couple minolta film cameras away to a local person. . . . Would you believe not only would he part with one camera but he also won't even consider leaning me one of the minolta's and one or two lenses that I gave him free!
just bend me over and spank me. Would feel better than what I feel for this person right now.
Our local ma and pop camera shop, went out of business a year ago. I have looked on B&h, Calumet, cowboy studio and many other sites, just cannot afford anything right now and I am having photo withdrawals bad here.
Cloths and furniture are priority before I really can do anything else camera wise. I have asked around all my people around my area that I know. I hate asking but I will grovel a little bit.
Lost without equipment
thanks in advance

I have some older equipment that I didn't know what to do with. I will compile a list and pm you. If you can use ANY of it, I will be honored if you will take it. It's in the back of my closet and not worth much.
If you are interested in an old Canon FT/QL film camera with a couple of lenses, you are welcome to them. I don't have anything modern except my Canon EOS Rebel. I know it's kinda cheesy to be offering up film cameras, but that's all I have that is laying around gathering dust.
Sorry about your loss. I have a Minolta X700 in storage somewhere. Would have to look a bit. There is probably two off brand lenses and a Minolta flash in a bag.
I am heading to Chicago for the weekend. Would look for it next week.

Looks like these folks have your back and I call that wonderful.
If there is something else you need once the dust settles feel free to send me a pm and I will do my best. Also, to aid in the mental health, I for one would love to know as much as you care to share about your upcoming ride to DC. I have been riding pretty much all winter so far but this last snow has my Ultrta in the garage for now. Best passtime is reading and planning of upcoming rides I think

Run to the Wall with Combat Veterans May every year. We ( combat veterans association) pretty much own a hotel located in Vienna , Va every Memorial Weekend. Located approximately 9-12 miles from the wall, veterans and friends from across the country start rolling in on Wednesday evenings through Friday. We gather together for our escorted ride to the Wall on Saturday. This when Combat Vets Assoc places a wreath at a special place for a special veteran that is either a relative or a friend.
Thursday and Friday night at the hotel that we call "The Trap" can get pretty wild and there is a lot of laughter,, tears, friends, moonshine sometimes, music. We pretty much have free rein at the hotel.
Combat Veterans Assoc is across the country, members are from all walks of life. We are Veterans helping Veterans.
Here is a link to some of last years photos. I believe the only ones that werent put up was when I jump off my bike in the front of the group stand in the middle of the road and proceed to play in traffic taking photos of each and every bike from our group. Last year there were a little over 600 photos very few were duplicates.

After going through my older equipment, I really don't think I have anything you would use. I have an older Konika film camera with a couple lenses, and a nikon SLR .

Could you use a 10mp bridge Nikon (P-90, I think)? Comes with 2 batteries, charger, manual (if I can find it) and I believe I have the box. If so, PM shipping address.
Leave a flower at the wall for me.
