Starling turf battle (5)

I was sitting in my backyard, waiting for Purple Grackles and American Robins to come so I could get some close pics when a flock of European Starlings landed. This pair of Starlings was feeding toward each other, and when they got close, the battle erupted. It was almost as if the garden hose laying on the lawn was the dividing line between each bird's turf. There were other battles erupting but this was the closest to me.

I was shooting HH in bright sunshine using a Canon EOS 50D w/EF 70-200mm f2.8L w/2.0x II TC; Av @ f8; AI Servo @ 5-fps; ISO 800. Exif intacct. PP w/PSE8.
