Need to find the web site, for an aluminum made gimble head. One was mentioned a little while back. It looked like the expensive ones but was cheap.

No the one I saw was polished aluminum same design shape as a Wimberley,but around 55-75 dollars

I don't remember seeing that one. I do remember a home made one that might be what you saw though. Do a search and you may find it.

There are a couple regularly offerded on ebay from China and Hong Kong that are cheap.
